Return of the Vortons
Return of the Vortons was written around 2006 and upgraded in 2010. It will run on Windows 7, 8 and 10 machines. The more recent Vorton Invasion for iOS was based on this game.

This game is completely free! There are no ads, no registration is required and there are no unwanted apps or programs attached. It does not require an internet connection as it is a desktop program intended for solo play like the early days of personal computers.
Return of the Vortons is provided as a zip file in my Dropbox. After downloading, extract the folder and run setup.exe. It is an old program written before Windows required certificates, so you may have to authorize installation. Click "Yes" or "Allow" if prompted. It may appear as if nothing is happening for 15 - 30 seconds. This is normal. The game will start when setup is complete. Have fun!
